Object detection and tracking is an important computer vision task. Object detection and tracking in video with visualization is also possible on weaker devices, although it can be slow and stuttery. One of the tasks of this thesis is to develop a solution, which processes the video on a separate server, stream the results to the client environment, which smoothly plays video together with object visualizations. In this thesis such object tracking algorithms as SORT, DeepSORT and ByteTrack are described and compared between themselves. The YOLOv8 object detection model is used and results of it are analyzed. During this master's thesis the author has developed a program for object detection and tracking in video, a program for video streaming together with detected objects, and a client environment which is responsible for visualization of results. Performance of developed programs is tested with different videos.
