In the thesis "Determination and analysis of the optimal route for rogaining distances", the most widely known available algorithms for determining the optimal path are reviewed and described how these algorithms could be used in the program for a specific purpose - determining the optimal path for rogaining distances. Based on the conclusions made in the research, an application for planning rogaining distances and determining the optimal path is being developed, which provides an opportunity to plan and analyze rogaining-type distances, as well as determine the optimal route for the distance. A comparison of the optimal path determination algorithms developed within the program is performed, counting the execution time and accuracy at different number of checkpoints to be visited. In order to determine how useful such an application could be, a comparison of the route calculated by the program's optimal route determination algorithm with the respondents’ route planning at different distances is carried out as part of the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to research the existing methods for determining the optimal path at different number of vertices and to apply this type of algorithm in a program with practical application, as well as to determine how useful such an application would be when comparing the respondents' planning and the optimal path calculated by the algorithm.
