Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts improvizācijas problēmai mūzikas ontoloģijā. Mūzikā improvizācija ir spontāna mūzikas radīšana izpildījuma brīdī, tomēr tās statusa noteikšanu apgrūtina improvizācijas daudzveidība. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir, izvērtējot dažādas mūzikas ontoloģijas pieejas analītiskajā estētikā, parādīt, ka improvizēta skaņdarba ontoloģiskais statuss ir nedefinējams. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, tiek aplūkotas teorijas par to, kādai ontoloģiskajai kategorijai pieder iepriekš sacerēts skaņdarbs jeb muzikāla kompozīcija; tiek analizētas improvizācijas attiecības ar kompozīciju un improvizācijas klasifikācijas iespējas mūzikas ontoloģijā; tiek parādīts, ka improvizācijas skaidrojums nevienā teorijā nav pārliecinošs, dažādām improvizācijas formām ir atšķirīgi nosacījumi, līdz ar to improvizāciju nevar ietvert vienā definīcijā. The bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to the problem of improvisation in the ontology of music. In music, improvisation is the spontaneous creation of music during performance, yet its status is complicated by the diversity of improvisation. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to demonstrate that the ontological status of an improvised piece is undefinable by evaluating various approaches to the ontology of music within analytical aesthetics. To achieve this aim, the thesis examines theories regarding the ontological category to which a pre-composed piece or musical composition belongs; analyses the relationship between improvisation and composition, as well as the possibilities for classifying improvisation in the ontology of music; and demonstrates that the account of improvisation is not compelling in any theory, as different forms of improvisation have distinct conditions, thus defying a single definition.
