Zemo purvu izplatības izmaiņas Ogres novadā pēdējo 50 gadu laikā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir kvalitatīvi novērtēt Ogres novadā esošo zemo purvu atradņu izplatību un izmaiņas salīdzinot ar 1960 – 1980. gada kūdras fonda datiem. Apakšmērķis ir novērtēt zemo purvu esošos zemes lietojuma veidus un to potenciālo ilgtermiņa ietekmi uz Latvijas 2050. gada klimatneitralitātes mērķiem. Bakalaura darbā pielietoti Ģeogrāfiskās Informācijas Sistēmas rīki, lai veiktu priekšizpēti par zemo purvu lokāciju un zemes lietojumu veidiem, par pamatu izmantojot kartogrāfiskos datus par lauksaimniecībā izmantojamām zemēm, kūdraugšņu un organisko augšņu izplatību, kūdras atradnēm un cita saistošā informācija. Pēc nejaušības principa tika izvēlēti vairāki zemie purvi, kuros notika zondēšanas un nogulumu paraugošanas darbi ar mērķi noskaidrot esošās kūdras tipu, biezumu un, pēc iespējas, tādus kūdras raksturlielumus kā mineralizācija un oglekļa apjoms. Rezultātā, iegūta informācija par aktuālo zemo purvu izplatību Ogres novadā, kā arī, sniegts ieskats par zemo purvu zemes lietojuma veidiem un to kopsakarību ar Latvijas un Eiropas klimata un biodaudzveidības likumdošanām. Bakalaura darbs sniedz ieskatu reālajā zemo purvu izplatībā un rosina ņemt vērā zemes lietojuma izmaiņas, kuras notikušas kopš purvu atradņu kartēšanas 1960.-1980. gados, kas ir būtiski, lai sekmētu ilgtspējīgas attīstības plānu atbilstību reālajai situācijai saistībā ar klimatneitralitātes un biodaudzveidības mērķu izpildi.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to qualitatively assess the distribution and changes of fen peatlands in Ogre region in comparison with the data of the peat fund of 1960 - 1980. The sub-objective is to assess the existing land use patterns of fens and their potential long-term impact on Latvia's 2050 climate neutrality objectives. The bachelor thesis applied Geographic Information System tools to carry out a feasibility study on the location and land use types of fens, using cartographic data on agricultural land, distribution of peat and organic soils, peat deposits and other relevant information as a basis. A number of fens were randomly selected for probing and sediment sampling, with the aim of ascertaining the type and thickness of peat present and, where possible, peat characteristics such as mineralisation and carbon content. As a result, information on the current distribution of fens in the Ogre region was obtained, as well as an overview of the land use of fens and its relation to Latvian and European climate and biodiversity legislation. The bachelor thesis provides an insight into the actual distribution of fen peatlands and encourages to take into account the land use changes that have taken place since the mapping of peatlands in the 1960s-1980s, which is essential to facilitate the relevance of sustainable development plans to the real situation in terms of climate neutrality and biodiversity objectives.
