Title of the Bachelor’s Thesis is “Opportunities for Reducing the Average Costs of Mobile Payments in Circle K”. The research problem is the increasing costs associated with mobile payment processing for the company. The Bachelor’s thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter provides a theoretical overview of the concept of mobile payments, their types, and applications. Additionally, it explores how the costs of accepting cashless payments are formed for merchants and examines the factors specifically affecting the costs associated with mobile payments. The second chapter reviews theories on consumer behavior and habits regarding payment methods, with a focus on digital and mobile payments. The third chapter describes the offerings of the Circle K apps, the payment options available in them, and the costs incurred by the company in accepting these payments. Furthermore, it identifies potential solutions for reducing the average direct costs of transactions made using the company’s apps in Europe and models scenarios showing how the company’s costs would change if these cost-reducing tools were implemented. Finally, conclusions are drawn, and recommendations are made for the company based on the gathered information. Quantitative methodology is used to achieve the set tasks in the development of the Bachelor’s thesis. The Bachelor’s thesis comprises 64 pages, analyzes 17 tables, and references 65 literature sources.
