Abstract
Valsts ekonomikas attīstībā nozīmīgu lomu ieņem starptautiskās investīcijas, tostarp ārvalstu tiešās investīcijas. Piesaistītās tiešās investīcijas nodrošina iespējas attīstīt valsts tautsaimniecību un integrēt uzņēmumus pasaules tirgū. Efektīvu investīciju piesaistes politiku iespējams izstrādāt, analizējot konkrētai valstij un reģionam raksturīgos investīciju ietekmējošos faktorus. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt tiešo investīciju ietekmējošos faktorus Eiropas Savienībā, kā arī analizēt padziļinātāk Baltijas valstu tiešo investīciju piesaistes šķēršļus, lai izvirzītu priekšlikumus Ekonomikas ministrijai un Latvijas Investīciju un attīstības aģentūrai (LIAA) investīciju stratēģijas attīstībā, lai veicinātu investīciju piesaisti.
Foreign direct investment plays a key role in the economic development of a country. This additional capital provides an opportunity to develop the economy in accordance with national strategic plans as well as to integrate companies in the international markets. It is possible to develop an effective investment policy by analyzing the determinants of direct investments that are country and region specific. The aim of the thesis is to identify the determinants of direct investment in the the European Union and to analyze the foreign investment barriers in the Baltic States to develop proposals on investment policy improvements that the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia could implement.
