The bachelor thesis "Compliance of the Legal Regulation of Maintenance Recovery with the Satversme of the Republic of Latvia" was elaborated with the aim to study the compliance of the legal regulation of maintenance calculation and recovery with the fundamental human rights included in the Satversme of the Republic of Latvia. The bachelor thesis provides a broad outline of the process of calculation and recovery of maintenance, outlines and analyses the problems that arise when recovering maintenance from persons with average and low incomes. In the process of elaboration of the thesis, the author identifies the incompatibility of the process of recovery of maintenance with human rights, as well as shortcomings in other normative acts, which directly or indirectly concern the payer of maintenance. As a result of the study, a number of recommendations are made to clarify and improve the legal framework affecting persons who are obliged to pay maintenance to their minor children.
