Igaunijas un Latvijas parlamentāro vēlēšanu salīdzinošā analīze: pētījums par vēlētāju sastāvu un elektorālo izvēli

Abstract

Maģistra darbā “Igaunijas un Latvijas parlamentāro vēlēšanu salīdzinošā analīze: pētījums par vēlētāju sastāvu un elektorālo izvēli” tiek veikts pētījums par abās valstīs notikušajām parlamentārajām vēlēšanām laika posmā no 2006. gada līdz 2023. gadam, ņemot vērā valstīs pastāvošos atšķirīgos vēlēšanu modeļus. Pētījumā tiek analizēta politiskā līdzdalība, kā arī tiek analizēti faktori, kas ietekmē vēlētāju izvēli vēlēšanās. Politiskās līdzdalības nozīme kļūst arvien būtiskāka laikā, kad visā pasaulē ir novērojama demokrātijas lejupslīde, kur ar līdzdalības palīdzību sabiedrībai tiek dota iespēja ietekmēt valsts turpmāko attīstību, nodrošinot tādu lēmumu pieņemšanu, kas ir balstīta uz vairākuma gribu. Maģistra darbs sastāv no piecām nodaļām. Maģistra darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkota politiskā līdzdalība un aplūkoti dažādi faktori, kas to ietekmēt. Tāpat tiek pētīta vēlēšanu nozīme, - politiskās līdzdalības kontekstā. Darba empīriskā daļa sastāv no kvalitatīvās analīzes, papildus tiek analizēti Latvijas un Igaunijas kvantitatīvie pēcvēlēšanu dati. In the master's thesis "Comparative analysis of parliamentary elections in Estonia and Latvia: A study of electorate composition and electoral choice", a study of the parliamentary elections held in both countries in the period from 2006 to 2023 is carried out, considering the different election models existing in the countries. The study analyses political participation, as well as factors that influence voter choice in elections. The importance of political participation is becoming more and more important at a time when the decline of democracy is observed all over the world, where with the help of participation, the public is given the opportunity to influence the future development of the country, ensuring that decisions are made based on the will of the majority. The master's thesis consists of five chapters. The theoretical part of the master's thesis examines political participation and examines various factors that influence it. The importance of elections is also studied - in the context of political participation. The empirical part of the work consists of qualitative analysis, in addition the quantitative post-election data of Latvia and Estonia are analysed.
