Dezinformācija par Valsts robežsardzes un Valsts policijas darbu: maldināšanas mehānismi un sabiedrības reakcija uz tiem

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Dezinformācija par Valsts robežsardzes un Valsts policijas darbu: maldināšanas mehānismi un sabiedrības reakcija uz tiem” mērķis ir izpētīt sabiedrības maldināšanas mehānismus, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot dezinformācijas izplatībai, kas vērsta pret Valsts robežsardzi un Valsts policiju, kā arī izvērtēt sabiedrības reakciju saskaroties ar dezinformāciju. Darbā aplūkotas teorijas par dezinformācijas ietekmes mehānismiem, sociālās ietekmes un informācijas manipulācijas mehānismiem. Apskatīti jaunākie pētījumi dezinformācijas jomā, medijpratības nozīme Latvijas iekšējās drošības un aizsardzības kontekstā, veikta jau esošo pētījumu Latvijas konteksta analīze, kā arī apskatīta Latvijas iekšējās drošības un aizsardzības nozīme. Pētījumā izmantotas kvantitatīvā Latvijas iedzīvotāju aptaujas analīze, kvantitatīvās daļēji strukturētās interviju metodes un kvantitatīvās kontentanalīzes metodes. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka dezinformācija par Valsts robežsardzi un Valsts policiju pastāv, taču tās izplatība pēdējā laikā ir samazinājusies, salīdzinot ar Covid-19 pandēmijas laiku un Baltkrievijas režīma izvērstā hibrīdkara sākumu, jo sabiedrība ir kļuvusi piesardzīgāka, tā kritiskāk izvērtē informācijas avotus un tās saturu. Iestādes aktīvi izmanto dažādus komunikācijas kanālus, lai informētu sabiedrību par aktualitātēm, kas saistītas ar iestāžu darbu, preventīvi strādājot pie dezinformācijas pirmsatspēkošanas.

The aim of the bachelor's thesis "Disinformation about the work of the State Border Guard and the State Police: deception mechanisms and public reaction to them" is to investigate the mechanisms of public deception, with a particular focus on the spread of disinformation targeting the State Border Guard and the State Police, as well as to evaluate public reactions when faced with disinformation. The thesis examines theories related to the mechanisms of disinformation impact, social influence, and information manipulation. It reviews recent studies in the field of disinformation, the importance of media literacy in the context of Latvia's internal security and defense, conducts an analysis of existing research within the Latvian context, and discusses the significance of internal security and defense in Latvia. The research employs quantitative analysis of surveys conducted among Latvian residents, quantitative semi-structured interview methods, and quanitative content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that disinformation regarding the State Border Guard and State Police exists; however, its prevalence has decreased recently compared to the Covid-19 pandemic period and the onset of the hybrid war initiated by the Belarusian regime. This decline can be attributed to a more cautious public that critically evaluates information sources and content. The institutions actively utilize various communication channels to inform the public about current events related to their operations while proactively working on countering disinformation.
