Pētījuma hipotēze: 2. pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu vārda krājumu paplašināšana sekmēšana izdosies, ja: •Rotaļas būs bērna vecumposmam atbildošas •Rotaļas veicinās vārdu krājuma paplašināšanos un pielietošanu •Bērniem rotaļas būs saistošas un praktiski darāmas. Darbs sastāv no divām daļām: teorētiskā un empīriskā pētījuma. Teorētiskajā daļā: Tiek pētīta un analizēta bērna attīstība un vārdu krājuma nozīme valodā, veicot pedagoģisko un psiholoģisko teorijas apkopojumu. Kurā tiek aprakstīts bērnu vispārīgā attīstība kognitīvajā procesā. Vārdu krājuma attīstība un rotaļu nozīme valodas pilnveidošanā. Empīriskajā daļā: Tiek pētīts bērnu vārdu krājuma esošais apjoms un rotaļu ietekme uz sekmīgu vārdu krājuma paplašināšanu.
