ĪSSPĀRNU SISENI PODISMA PEDESTRIS IETEKMĒJOŠO EKOLOĢISKO FAKTORU IZPĒTE PIERĪGAS REĢIONA ATRADNĒS

Abstract

Īsspārnu sisenis Podisma pedestris ir Latvijā, kā arī vairākās citās Eiropas valstīs, apdraudēta un aizsargājama suga. Informācija par P. pedestris ekoloģiju Baltijas reģionā ir trūcīga un neļauj īstenot efektīvus pasākumus sugas aizsardzībai. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot P. pedestris ietekmējošos faktorus Pierīgas reģiona atradnēs. Sugai potenciāli piemērotajās vietās ir uzskaitīti taisnspārņu kārtas pārstāvji, raksturota veģetācija un ainavas faktori. Ap smilšainiem ceļiem un meža stigām koncentrētas P. pedestris populācijas konstatētas ainavās ar dominējošiem skujkoku mežiem, skraju veģetāciju, krūmājiem un lokālo sīkkrūmu segumu. Varbūtību konstatēt indivīdu visbūtiskāk ietekmē atklātas augsnes daudzums, sīkkrūmu un graudzāļu segumi, kā arī veģetācijas augstums.

Common mountain grasshopper Podisma pedestris is an endangered and protected species in Latvia, as well as in several other European countries. Information on the ecology of P. pedestris in the Baltic region is scarce and does not allow for the implementation of effective measures for the protection of the species. The aim of this study is to identify the factors affecting P. pedestris in Pierīga region. In potentially suitable habitats for the species, all Orthoptera representatives have been counted, vegetation and landscape factors have been characterized. P. pedestris populations concentrated around sandy roads and forest clearings have been found in landscapes with dominant coniferous forests, sparse vegetation, shrubs and local low-growing shrub cover. The probability of detecting an individual is most significantly influenced by the amount of exposed soil, shrub and grass cover, and vegetation height.
