Echinorhynchus gadi ietekme uz Austrumbaltijas mencas Gadus morhua (Linneus, 1758) kondīciju

Abstract

Austrumbaltijas mencu populācija ir pēdējās desmitgadēs ievērojami degradējusies. Populācijas veselību var ietekmēt dažādi vides faktori, kā arī parazīti. Akantocefāļu tipa helmintam, Echinorhynchus gadi, ir noteikta augsta prevalence Baltijas mencās un Latvijas teritoriālajos ūdeņos nav veikti pietiekami pētījumi par to, kā šo parazītu prevalence un invāzijas intensitāte ietekmē Austrumbaltijas mencas. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot kā Echinorhynchus gadi parazīti un to intensitātes izmaiņas ietekmē Austrumbaltijas mencu kondīciju, kā arī šo parazītu prevalenci Austrumbaltijas mencās. Izmeklētas 228 mencas, konstatētā prevalence sakrīt ar novēroto Baltijas jūrā. Analizējot datus no parazitoloģiskajiem izmeklējumiem netika konstatēta Echinorhynchus gadi parazītu ietekme uz Austrumbaltijas mencas kondīciju.

The Eastern Baltic cod population has been significantly degrading in recent decades. The health of the population can be affected by various environmental factors, as well as parasites. The acanthocephalan helminth, Echinorhynchus gadi, has a high prevalence in Baltic cod, and there have been insufficient studies on how the prevalence and intensity of these parasites affect Eastern Baltic cod in the territorial waters of Latvia. The aim of this study is to determine how changes in the intensity and prevalence of Echinorhynchus gadi parasites affect the condition of the Eastern Baltic cod. 228 cod were examined, the prevalence coincides with that observed in the Baltic Sea. When analyzing the data from parasitological examinations, no effect of Echinorhynchus gadi parasites on the condition of Eastern Baltic cod was found.
