Iedzīvotāju novecošanās ietekme uz darba tirgu Latvijā

Abstract

Iedzīvotāju novecošanās ir viena no svarīgākajām mūsdienu demogrāfiskajām problēmām, kas būtiski ietekmē ekonomiku. Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta iedzīvotāju novecošanās ietekme uz Latvijas darba tirgu. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā demogrāfiskās pārmaiņas, īpaši gados vecāku iedzīvotāju īpatsvara pieaugums, ietekmē nodarbinātības līmeni. Darbs sastāv no trim daļām. Pirmajā daļā analizēta zinātniskā literatūra un starptautiskie pētījumi par iedzīvotāju novecošanās ietekmi uz tautsaimniecību, otrajā daļā pētīti statistiskie dati par Latvijas demogrāfiskajiem un ekonomiskajiem rādītājiem un to dinamika, bet trešajā daļā konstruēts lineārās regresijas modelis, lai kvantitatīvi noteiktu iedzīvotāju novecošanās faktoru ietekmi. Rezultāti liecina, ka iedzīvotāju novecošanās ietekme nav viennozīmīga un ir jāanalizē plašākā kontekstā, izmantojot dažādas metodoloģiskās pieejas. Tiek secināts, ka ir nepieciešams pielāgot nodarbinātības politiku demogrāfiskās novecošanās kontekstā.

Population ageing is one of the most important demographic challenges of our time and has a major impact on the economy. This bachelor thesis examines the impact of an ageing population on the Latvian labour market. The aim of the study is to investigate how demographic change, in particular the increase in the share of older people, affects the employment rate. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part analyses scientific literature and international studies on the impact of population ageing on the economy, the second part studies statistical data on demographic and economic indicators and their dynamics in Latvia, and the third part constructs a linear regression model to quantify the impact of population ageing factors. The results show that the impact of an ageing population is not straightforward and needs to be analysed in a broader context using different methodological approaches. It is concluded that there is a need to adapt employment policies in the context of demographic ageing.
