Darba tirgus konjunktūra un tās izmaiņas veselības un sociālās aprūpes sektorā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt veselības un sociālās aprūpes sektora darba tirgus konjunktūru, tās izmaiņas COVID-19 ietekmē un piedāvāt risinājumus identificētajām problēmām. Datu apstrādei un analīzei tika izmantota programma Stata. Pētījumā tiek izmantoti EU-SILC dati par 2018.-2023. gadu. Pielietojot ekonometriskās modelēšanas metodes – lineāro regresiju un probit modeli, – autore novērtē nodarbinātības veselības un sociālās aprūpes nozarē efektus uz darba ienākumu līmeni un veselības stāvokli salīdzinājumā ar citiem sektoriem (kad pārējie sociāli-ekonomiskie faktori ir kontrolēti). Empīriskie rezultāti liecina, ka pandēmijas izraisītās veselības un sociālās aprūpes nozares darba tirgus konjunktūras izmaiņas būtiski ietekmējušas gan speciālistu darba algas, gan viņu veselības stāvoklī. Darbā izstrādāti ieteikumi politikas veidotājiem, lai uzlabotu darbaspēka piesaisti un nodrošinātu nozares ilgtspēju.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to study the labor market situation in the health and social care sector, its changes due to the pandemic, and to propose solutions to the identified problems. The Stata program was used for data processing and analysis. The study uses the EU-SILC data for 2018-2023. Using econometric modeling methods – linear regression and the Probit model, – the author assesses the labour income and health effects among those employed in the health and social care sector compared to other sectors (when other socio-economic parameters are controlled). The empirical results confirm that changes in the labor market situation caused by the pandemic had a substantial effect both on the income level and health of specialists employed in the health and social care sector. The thesis develops recommendations for policymakers to improve labor force attraction and ensure the sustainability of the sector.
