Transpersonu reprezentācija Latvijas vadošajos ziņu portālos (2020-2024)

Abstract

Šī Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir Transpersonu reprezentācija Latvijas vadošajos ziņu portālos (2020-2024), un tajā tiek pētīti rāmējumi, kādos tiek rakstīts par transpersonām Latvijas vadošajos ziņu portālos – Delfi.lv, Tvnet.lv un LSM.lv. Tā teorētiskais pamats ir rāmējuma teorija (Gofmanis, Entmans), kvīru teorija (Fuko, Batlere, Kosofska Sedžvika) un materiāli par reprezentāciju, valodas un transpersonu jautājumiem. Izmantotās metodes ir daļēji strukturētā intervija un kontentanalīze. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt transpersonu satura rāmējumus minētajos portālos un salīdzināt tos. Tika noskaidrots, ka rāmējums kopumā ir rets un bieži neiekļauj transpersonas. LSM.lv koncentrējās uz Latviju un rakstīja dziļāk, kamēr Tvnet.lv – visplašāk - , bet Delfi.lv bija visvājākais rāmējums ar vismazāk rakstiem pat, ja portālam ir vislielākā redakcija.

The name of this Bachelor's thesis is Representation of transgender people in the leading news portals of Latvia (2020-2024) , and it studies the frames in which trans people are written about on Latvia's leading news portals – Delfi.lv, Tvnet.lv and LSM.lv. Its theoretical basis is framing theory (Goffman, Entman), queer theory (Foucault, Butler, Kosofska Sedgwick) and materials on representation, language and trans issues. The methods used are semi-structured interviews and content analysis. The aim of the work is to study the framing of trans content on the mentioned portals and compare them. It was found that framing is generally rare and often does not include trans people. LSM.lv focused on Latvia and wrote in depth, while Tvnet.lv – the most broadly-, but Delfi.lv had the weakest framing with the fewest articles even if the portal has the largest editorial staff.
