Uzmanību novērsošu UI elementu un dizaina ietekme uz vietnes lietojamību

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt un analizēt, kā dažādi lietotāja saskarnes elementi un dizaini ietekmē vietnes lietojamību. Pētījuma ietvaros tiek izstrādātas un testētas vairākas lietotnes saskarnes versijas ar atšķirīgu dizaina sarežģītības pakāpi, lai novērtētu to ietekmi uz lietotāja pieredzi, izmantojot uzdevumu izpildes efektivitātes mērījumus kā laiku un kļūdu skaitu, kā arī veicot lietotāju anketēšanu. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aplūkoti lietojamības principi, dizaina elementi, kas var kavēt efektīvu mijiedarbību ar vietni, un lietojamības testēšanas svarīgākie aspekti. Tiek apskatītas metodes, kas var negatīvi ietekmēt lietotāja uzmanību, veicinot kļūdu rašanos uzdevumu izpildē. Praktiskajā daļā tiek izstrādātas vairākas tīmekļa lapu versijas ar dažādiem dizaina un uzmanību novērsošu elementu risinājumiem. Lietojamības testi tiek veikti, lai noteiktu, cik lielā mērā uzmanību novērsoši elementi ietekmē uzdevumu izpildi, lietotāju kļūdu biežumu un kopējo lietošanas ērtumu. Pēc katras saskarnes versijas izpildes lietotāji aizpilda anketu, lai novērtētu savu apmierinātību ar konkrēto versiju. Rezultāti norāda, ka uzmanību novērsošu elementu pielietojums būtiski samazina lietotāju efektivitāti un apmierinātību, kā arī palielina kļūdu skaitu.

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to explore and analyze how different user interface elements and designs affect website usability. As part of the research, multiple versions of an application’s user interface with varying levels of design complexity are developed and tested to evaluate their impact on user experience. The evaluation is based on task performance efficiency measurements such as time spent on the task completion and number of mistakes being done during the task completion, as well as user satisfaction surveys. The theoretical part of the thesis reviews usability principles, design elements that may hinder effective interaction with a website, and key aspects of usability testing. Theoretical part also examines methods that might negatively affect user attention, therefore increasing the likelihood of mistakes being done during task completion. In the practical part, several versions of web pages are developed with various design approaches and distracting elements. Usability tests are conducted to determine to what extent various distracting elements affect task performance, the frequency of user mistakes, and overall ease of use. After each version of the task being completed, users fill out a questionnaire to assess their satisfaction with the completed version. The results indicate that the use of attention distracting elements significantly reduces user efficiency and satisfaction, while also increasing the number of mistakes users make.
