Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izvērtēt Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas praksi, identificējot juridiskās problēmas un tās cēloņus, balstoties uz teorētiskās bāzes, tiesu prakses un piemērojamās metodoloģijas analīzi. Lai īstenotu izvirzīto mērķi, autore darbā pēta Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas institūta priekšvēsturi, pilsonības atņemšanas pamatus, izvērtējot gan teoriju, gan tiesu praksi, kā arī Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas administratīvo procesu. Darbā tiek identificētas un izvērtētas Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas juridiskās problēmas. Bakalaura darba rezultātā autore secina, ka Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas prakse nav vienveidīga nepienācīgi vērtētā samērīguma dēļ. To galvenokārt ietekmē praksē nepienācīgi integrējusies Satversmes tiesas 2023. gada 30. novembra spriedumā paustā atziņa par samērīguma vērtēšanas nepieciešamību ikvienā Latvijas pilsonības atņemšanas gadījumā. The purpose of the Bachelor's work is to evaluate the practice of withdrawing Latvian citizenship by identifying the legal problem and its causes, based on an analysis of the theoretical base, case law and applicable methodology. In order to achieve the stated objective, the author examines the background of the Latvian Institute for the deprivation of Citizenship, the grounds for the deprivation of Citizenship in her work, evaluating both theory and case law, as well as the administrative process for the deprivation of Latvian Citizenship. The legal problem of deprivation of Latvian citizenship is identified and evaluated in the work. As a result of the Bachelor's work, the author concludes that the practice of withdrawing Latvian citizenship is not uniform due to the underestimated proportionality. This is mainly influenced by the finding expressed in the judgment of the Constitutional Court of 30 November 2023 regarding the necessity of assessing proportionality in any case of deprivation of Latvian citizenship.
