Abstract

Darba “Dzīvesstāsts kā evaņģēlija turpinājums: hernhūtiešu mantojums Vidzemē līdz 19. gadsimta vidum” centrā ir hernhūtiešu dzīvesstāstu analīze ar mērķi izprast – ko un kā viņi liecināja par savām attiecībām ar Dievu. Dzīvesstāstu izpētē izmantota tematiskā naratīvā analīze ar teoloģisku fokusu, ņemot vērā arī diskursa analīzes principus. Darbā tiek izvirzīts apgalvojums, ka hernhūtiešu dzīvesstāstus vienojošais vadmotīvs ir Dieva žēlastības vēsts, kas caurvij katra individuālo stāstu. Pieteikums “dzīvesstāsts kā evaņģēlija turpinājums” paredz arī paplašinātu skatījumu un interpretāciju, atklājot – kā caur naratīvās teoloģijas ieskatiem ir iespējams pamatot un ieraudzīt dzīvesstāstu kā evaņģēlija turpinājumu.

The study entitled "The Life Story as a Continuation of the Gospel: The Legacy of the Moravian Brethren in Vidzeme until the Mid-19th Century" focuses on the analysis of these life narratives, aiming to explore how and what the Moravians testified about their relationship with God. The research applies thematic narrative analysis with a theological focus, also considering principles of discourse analysis. The central argument of the study is that a unifying motif across the Moravian life stories is the message of God’s grace, which permeates each individual narrative. The concept of the “life story as a continuation of the gospel” enables an expanded interpretative framework, demonstrating how, through the lens of narrative theology, the life story can be understood and substantiated as a continuation of the gospel.
