Identitāte un pašvērtējums: korejiešu sabiedrības attēlojums Hvang Borum romānā "Laipni lūgti Hjunamdong grāmatnīcā"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā “Identitāte un pašvērtējums: korejiešu sabiedrības attēlojums Hvang Borum romānā “Laipni lūgti Hjunamdong grāmatnīcā”” tiek analizēts, kā romāna varoņi, sastopoties ar sabiedrības spiedienu, vērtību hierarhiju un normām, meklē jēgpilnāku un autentiskāku dzīvesveidu. Romāna darbība norisinās mūsdienu Korejas nepārtraukti progresējošajā un mainīgajā sociālajā kultūrvidē. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt Hvang Borum romānā attēloto varoņu identitātes meklējumus un pašvērtējuma veidošanos, un šo procesu sasaisti ar sabiedrības standartiem un gaidām. Darbs tika sadalīts trīs daļās, pirmajā tika izklāstīta identitātes un pašvērtējuma teorētiskie pamati , un nozīme Korejas kultūrā. Otrajā daļā izpētīts galvenās varones identitātes transformācija, kas sākotnēji ir veidota pēc sabiedrības gaidām, taču vēlāk varone meklē autentiskumu. Trešajā nodaļā tika analizēta marginalizēto varoņu identitātes transformācija, kā arī viņu pašvērtējuma meklējumu analīze atklāj sabiedrības spiediena ietekmi un indivīda centienus atrast savu autentisko ceļu. Pamatdarba apjoms ir 38 lappuses. Secinājumi apstiprina, ka varoņu identitātes meklējumi un pašvērtējuma procesi atspoguļo sabiedrības vēlmi dzīvot jēgpilnāku jeb autentiskāku dzīvi Dienvidkorejā. Grāmatnīca kā alternatīva telpa kļūst par simbolu, kur varoņi var pārvarēt sabiedrības normas un veidot savu identitāti, kas atbilst viņu patiesajām vērtībām un vēlmēm.

The bachelor's thesis “Identity and Self Assessment: Korean Portrait of Society in Hwang Borum's Novel “Welcome to Hyunamdong Bookshop”” analyzes how the characters of the novel, faced with societal pressure, value hierarchy, and norms, search for a more meaningful and authentic way of life. The novel is set in the constantly progressive and changing social and cultural environment of modern Korea. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the identity search and self assessment formation of the characters depicted in Hwang Borum's novel, and to link these processes with social standards and expectations. The work was divided into three parts, the first of which presented the theoretical foundations of identity and self assessment and their significance in Korean culture. The second part explored the transformation of the main character's identity, which is initially shaped by societal expectations, but later the character seeks authenticity. The third chapter analyzed the transformation of the identities of the marginalized characters, as well as their search for self-worth, revealing societal pressure and the individual's efforts to find their authentic path. The main work is 38 pages long. The conclusions confirm that the characters' search for identity and self assessment processes reflect the public's desire to live a more meaningful or authentic life in South Korea. The bookstore, as an alternative space, becomes a symbol where the characters can overcome societal norms and create their own identity that agreeds to their true values and desires.
