Mitoloģiskie tēli un motīvi “TET” oriģinālseriālā "Briesmīgi stāstiņi"

Abstract

Šajā bakalaura darbā tiek pētīts mitoloģijas tēlu un motīvu atspoguļojums seriālā “Briesmīgi stāstiņi”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt un atklāt, vai un kā mitoloģiskie tēli un motīvi tiek atspoguļoti seriāla «Briesmīgi stāstiņi» sērijās, vai tie seriālā ieguvuši kādas jaunas nozīmes vai transformācijas formas un kā šos mitoloģiskos tēlus un motīvus uztver seriāla skatītāji. Darba pamatā ir sēriju semiotiskā analīze, aplūkojot mitoloģiskos tēlus un motīvus kā zīmes un pētot to nozīmes, papildus datu ieguvei organizēta intervija ar seriāla scenārija līdzautoru un diskusija ar skatītājiem. Pētījums atklāja, ka seriāla veidotāji apzināti izmanto tradicionālos mitoloģiskos tēlus, taču bieži vien tiem tiek piešķirtas jaunas nozīmes un interpretācijas, kas var radīt neskaidrības skatītājiem.

This bachelor's thesis explores the representation of mythological characters and motifs in the television series “Scary Stories”. The aim of the thesis is to examine and reveal whether and how mythological characters and motifs are depicted in the episodes of “Scary Stories”, whether they have acquired new meanings or forms of transformation within the series, and how these mythological elements are perceived by the show's audience. The study is based on a semiotic analysis of the episodes, examining mythological characters and motifs as signs and exploring their meanings. To supplement the data, an interview with the series' co-writer was conducted, as well as a discussion with viewers. The research revealed that the creators of the series deliberately use traditional mythological characters, but often assign them new meanings and interpretations, which may lead to confusion among viewers.
