Līvānu novada centrālās bibliotēkas vēsturiskā attīstība

Abstract

Publikāciju klāsts par Līvānu novada centrālās bibliotēkas vēsturi ir ierobežots. Tajās ietvertā informācijas ir fragmentāra. Informācija ir pieejama arī izkliedētajos un nepietiekami izpētītajos nepublicētajos materiālos, kuri atrodas gan Līvānos, gan arī Latvijas Valsts vēstures arhīvā. Informācija šim darbam tika iegūta arī no bijušo un tagadējo bibliotēkas darbinieku stāstījumiem. Kaut arī senākais ieraksts bibliotēkas inventāra grāmatā saglabājies no 1947. gada, ir zināms, ka jau pirmās Latvijas brīvvalsts laikā Līvānu pilsētā darbojušās trīs bibliotēkas. Pirmās ziņas par bibliotēkām Līvānos ir pieejamas kopš 1920. gada, kad Līvānu Latviešu izglītības biedrība „Stars” bija noorganizējusi bibliotēku. Tomēr, neskatoties uz bibliotēkas vairāku gadu desmitu ilgo pastāvēšanu, informācija par bibliotēkas vēsturi vēl nav bijusi līdz šim apkopota. Bibliotēkai, kura atrodas labāko pašvaldības bibliotēku vidū, ir nepieciešams, lai būtu pieejama informācija par tās attīstības vēsturi. Tāpēc radās nepieciešamība izpētīt Līvānu novada centrālās bibliotēkas attīstību, apzināt un apkopot visu pieejamo informāciju par šīs bibliotēkas vēsturi. Pētījuma rezultātā izdevās apkopot visu pieejamo informāciju gan no publicētajiem materiāliem, gan arī no nepublicētajiem materiāliem, kuri pārsvarā visi atrodas Līvānu novada centrālajā bibliotēkā.

There are few publications about the historical development of Livani Cpuntry Central library. The information, included in them, is rather fragmentary. The information is also accessible in a scattered way and not enough investigated yet in unpublished materials, which now are being kept in Livani as well as in Latvia State Archives of History. Besides the information for this Paper was obtained listening to library staff stories – the previous ones, as well as getting information from today’s employees. Although the most ancient entry in library inventory books is preserved since 1947, it is know that three have been there libraries in town Livani during the years of first independent state. The first news about libraries in Livani is accessible since 1920, when the library was organized by Livani Latvian educational society „Stars”. However, in spite of its existence during several decades, the information of the library’s history has not been summarized till this day. Therefore it is necessary that the information of historic development of the library, which is among the best municipal libraries, should be accessible. Besides, the necessity to study the hostorical development of Livani Country Central library arose. It also became the neccessity to acknowledge and summarize the whole accessible information of its history. In the course of reach it succeeded in summarizing the whole accessible information both from published yet which mainly are stored in Livani Country Central library. The advanced hypothesis is also confirmed. Livani Country Central library has exactly given a great contribution to inhabitants of Livani District.
