This scientific research is dedicated to the questions of state and the three largest Christian interfaith interactions in the territory of Latvia during the period from 1934.15. May - 1940.
This time in the history of Latvia has been called authoritarian regime period. As every authoritarian government bureaucracy, similarly K. Ulmanis government apparatus is characterised with bringing together under their rule all spheres of life of the nation, including religion.
This work thesis is: "K. Ulmanis dictatorial politics contributed to the Latvian Lutheran Church, Roman Catholic Church of Latvia and Latvian Orthodox Church co-operation with the state". The thesis of this research has been fully proved with references to the press of that time, the modern historians' evidences, and of course with the earlier and modern clergy historical commentary.
In my work, I have studied nationalism, ethnic dispute inside the church, land and property questions regulation during authoritarianism. A very big problem at the time was "Dievturi" who received nonofficial support from authoritarian government, which caused disagreements between the government and the traditional church.
In this research, I used the historical method of analysis based on historical sources. I believe that we have a vital need to explore this theme deeper in the future.
