Vizitācijas un sodi 17. gadsimta Latvijā

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka Latvijā ir tikušas dedzinātas raganas, kas notika 17. gadsimtā. Par pamatu izmantojot vēstures avotu un citas literatūras pētniecību. Aplūkojot vizitācijas un sodus Latvijas teritorijā, atklājas 17. gadsimta latviešu zemnieku ikdienas un garīgā dzīve, kas sevī iekļāva arī cilvēku tiesāšanu, sodīšanu un dedzināšanu uz sārta. Darbs sastāv no piecām nodaļām, kurās tiek apskatīta vēsturiskā situācija 16. – 17. gadsimta Latvijā, Eiropa šajā laikā, vizitācijas, soda veidi, raganu prāvas un raganu dedzināšana Kurzemes – Zemgales hercogistē un Livonijā.

The purpose of the given work is to prove that there were burned whitches on the territory of Latvia in the 17-th century. For the base considering the research of historical resorses and other literature. During the research of visitations and penalties that were in force on the territory of Latvia appeared latvian peasants' everyday and mental life in 17-th century which included also judging of people, punishing and burning on fire. The research is divided into five chapters, where is examined the historical situation in 16th-17th century on the territory of Latvia, situation in Europe during this period of time, visitations, methods of punishments, litigations of whitches and burning of whitches in Livonia, also in Kurzemes-Zemgales dukedom.
