Sieviešu ordinācija Latvijā arhibīskapa Jāņa Matuļa laikā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Sieviešu ordinācija arhibīskapa Jāņa Matuļa laikā”. Darba mērķis ir izanalizēt, kā arhibīskaps J.Matulis varēja panākt sieviešu ordināciju, Baznīcai tik sarežģītā laika posmā, kāds bija LPSR. Kā sava darba tēzi es izvirzīju, ka „sieviešu ordinācija bija arhibīskapa Jāna Matuļa vienpersonisks lēmums”. Darbs sastāv no ievada, trīs nodaļām ar apakšnodaļām, nobeiguma un pielikumiem. Pirmajā daļā tiek aplūkota Latvijas Evaņģēliski Luteriskās Baznīcas izveide, Latvijas Universitātes Teoloģijas fakultātes izveide un nozīmīgākās tā laika teoloģes Latvijā. Otrajā nodaļā autore uzrāda tās problēmas, ar kādām Latvijas Evaņģēliski Luteriskajai Baznīcai bija jāsaskaras Padomju Savienības laikā. Trešajā nodaļā tiek izanalizēta arhibīskapa Jāņa Matuļa darbība un veids, kādā viņš panāca sieviešu ordinācijas aizsākumus, kā arī apskatīts, kā notika pati ordinācija.

The title of this bachelor paper is The Ordination of Women During Archbishop Jānis Matulis’ Leadership. The goal of this paper is to analyze how J. Matulis achieved the ordination of women during the Russian occupation of Latvia, a time of great turmoil for the church. I present the thesis of this paper in the following statement: “The ordination of women was the sole decision of Archbishop Jānis Matulis.” The paper consists of an introduction, three sections with subsections, a conclusion and an appendix. The first section of the paper examines the formation of the Latvian Evangelic Lutheran Church and the foundation of the Department of Theology at the University of Latvia as well as examining the most influential female theologians in Latvia at that time. The second section presents problems, which the Latvian Evangelic Lutheran Church faced during the Russian occupation. The third section analyzes the work of Jānis Matulis and the way in which he achieved the ordination of women as well as examining how the ordination itself happened.
