Šamanisma elementi latviešu folklorā

Šamanisms parasti tiek uzskatīts par reliģisku fenomenu, kas ir tipisks Sibīrijā un Centrālāzijā dzīvojošām tautām, tomēr daudzi pētnieki norāda uz šamanisma pēdām, kuras saglabājušās dažādās kultūrās visā pasaulē, kas ļauj uzdot jautājumu, vai Latvijas teritorijā arī ir kādreiz pastāvējis šamanisms. Latviešu folklora ir viens no avotiem, kas varētu dot atbildes uz šo jautājumu, jo par spīti tās vēlajam pierakstīšanas laikam tajā ir saglabājušās ļoti senas tradīcijas un liecības par cilvēku sadzīvi un apkārtesošo pasauli.
Bakalaura darbā ir norādīts uz izteiktām līdzībām starp latviešu folklorā atrodamiem sižetiem un šamanisma svarīgākajiem elementiem. Šīs līdzības varētu norādīt uz šī reliģiskā fenomena klātesamību Latvijas teritorijā.

Shamanism is usually considered to be a religious phenomenon common to the people of Siberia and Central Asia, but many scholars have pointed out evidence that shows the presence of shamanism in many different cultures around the world, which allows us to inquire if shamanism has ever been present in the territory of Latvia. One of the sources that could give us an answer to this question is Latvian folklore, because despite the fact that it was written down very recently, it contains evidence of an ancient time, it’s traditions and the social life of those times.
In this paper the author will point out the evident similarities between the plots found in latvian folklore and the essential elements of shamanism. These similarities could point to the presence of this religious phenomenon in the territory of Latvia.
