Dieva labā roka Vecajā Derībā

Abstract

Darbā tiek skatīta Vecā Derība un tajā atrodamā metafora – Dieva labā roka. Tās nozīme joprojām tiek vērtēta pretrunīgi un, kamēr daļa autoru Dieva labo roku skata kā simbolu ar savu, īpašu nozīmi, atsevišķi autori tomēr piedāvā likt vienādības zīmi starp Dieva roku un Dieva labo roku. Pētījuma mērķis ir izprast Dieva labās rokas nozīmi Vecajā Derībā un izcelt tās unikālās īpašības. Lai to izdarītu, sākumā tiek skatīta rokas simboliskā nozīme, kā arī pati labā puse un tās nozīme. Pēc tam tiek izskatītas rakstu vietas Vecajā Derībā, kurās ir minēta Dieva labā roka un attiecīgi izdarīti secinājumi par pētītās metaforas pielietojumu.

The paper is called „The right hand of God in the Old Testament” and it examines the symbolism of God`s right hand. The symbolism behind this metaphor is still controversial due to the fact that some authors tend to see the right hand of God as a unique symbol while others claim that there seems to be no difference at all between the hand of God and the right hand of God. Therefore the aim of this research is to understand the meaning behind the mentioned metaphor and to highlight its unique qualities. In order to do so, first the meaning of hand as well as the meaning of the right side are examined. Afterwards, the texts in Old Testament, mentioning the right hand of God, are reviewed and conclusions drawn accordingly.
