Bakalaura darbs veltīts noziedzīgu nodarījumu recidīvam. Noziedzīgu nodarījumu recidīvs ir viens no noziedzīgu nodarījumu daudzējādības veidiem, kura legālā definīcija ietverta Krimināllikuma Vispārīgās daļas 27.pantā.
2013.gada 1.aprīlī spēkā stājās Krimināllikuma 2012.gada 13.decembra grozījumi, kas atzīti par līdz šim vērienīgākajiem grozījumiem kopš 1998.gada, kuru rezultātā tika izslēgts viens no noziedzīgu nodarījumu daudzējādības veidiem – atkārtotība, kā arī izmainīta noziedzīgu nodarījumu recidīva definīcija un izdarīti citi grozījumi, kas tieši un netieši saistīti ar noziedzīgu nodarījumu recidīvu.
Darba mērķis ir izvērtēt noziedzīgu nodarījumu recidīva būtību, tā piemērošanu praksē, 2012.gada 13.decembra grozījumu sekas, kā arī sniegt vērtējumu un priekšlikumus par noziedzīga nodarījuma recidīva turpmāko attīstību Latvijas krimināltiesībās.

In year 2013 April 1 amendments to the Criminal Law of Latvia, drafted in year 2012 December 13th, took effect and were acknowledged as the most important and ambitious amendments, which excluded one of the types of multiplicity of criminal offences – repetition, as well as, altered the definition of recidivism of criminal offences and made other amendments which are directly or indirectly connected with recidivism of criminal offences.
