Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt kādi problēmjautājumi ir izplatīti praksē saistībā ar galvojuma institūtu un paust savu viedokli šo jautājumu risināšanā.
Lai sasniegu darba mērķi tiek detalizēti apskatīts galvojuma, kā saistību tiesību pastiprinoša līdzekļa, institūta regulējumu Latvijas Civillikumā, aktuālos problēmjautājumus tiesu praksē, kā arī veikt ārvalstu normatīvajā regulējumā apskati.
Autors norāda uz labāku kreditora tiesiskā stāvokļa aizsardzību ārvalstu regulējumā, attiecībā uz prasību sniegt viņam maksātspējīgu galvinieku. Tāpat ir izvērtēs galvinieka tiesiskā statusa nepasliktināšanas princips. Autors uzskata, ka par galvojuma līgumu var prasīt arī atlīdzību. Izbeidzoties galvenajam parādniekam, galvojums transformējas par galveno saistību, bet galvinieks par parādnieku-tas izriet no galvojuma mērķa pārākuma par akcesoritāti.

The aim of achieving the objective is dealt with exploring in detail guarantee reinforcement of Obligations rights, the Institute of Latvian Civil Law, regulation, current challenges the case law, as well as foreign regulatory framework for the examination.
The author points to the better protection of creditor legal status of foreignregulations, the requirement to provide him with a solvent guarantor. It is also the guarantor will assess the legal status of non-regression principle. The authorconsiders that the guarantee agreement may also require consideration. Upon the termination of the principal debtor, bond evolves into a major commitment, butthe guarantor of the debtor, it is clear from the guarantee of superiority on the target supplementarity.
