Abstract

Maģistra darbs „Viduslaiku laulību tradīciju īpatnības Baltijā” ir izstrādāts, veicot patstāvīgu pētījumu par laulību paražām viduslaikos. Mūsdienās, dažādu iemeslu dēļ (globalizācija, tiesiskais nihilisms u.c.) laulības institūts zaudē savu nozīmi, un tā svarīgums tiek devalvēts, līdz ar to šis darbs ir aktuāls tāpēc, ka ir pētītas laulības tiesību attīstība un nostiprināšanās gan Eiropā kopumā, gan Baltijā atsevišķi, norādot uz to nozīmi sabiedrības attīstībā. Tieši tāpēc viduslaiku laulību tradīciju īpatnības Baltijā ir aktuāls temats arī mūsdienās.

The thesis of master work is „Medieval marriage traditions in the Baltic” has developed carrying out independent research on the marriage customs of the Middle Ages. Nowadays, a variety of reasons (the globalization, legal nihilism, etc.) the institution of marriage is losing its meaning and its importance is devalued, so this work is urgent because the marriage rights is researched so little (for example the development and strengthening of Europe in general, and the Baltic States alone) indicating of their role in society. That is why the medieval marriage traditions in the Baltic States is a topical issue today.
