Zusammenfassung
Pārmaiņas Latvijas ekonomikā, zinātnes un tehnikas progress veicina jaunas prasības profesionālajai izglītībai un rada nepieciešamību meklēt jaunu pieeju izglītības procesa vadīšanai un īstenošanai. Tādēļ svarīgi ir noskaidrot vadītāja darbības efektivitāti, izvērtēt vadīšanas vājās un stiprās puses un izstrādāt priekšlikumus izglītības vadības pilnveidei.
Lai noskaidrotu struktūrvienības vadītāja darbību medicīnas koledžā, tika analizēta pedagoģiskā, metodiskā un vadības zinātņu literatūra un izvērtēts vadīšanas dinamiskais process.
Darba 1. daļā tiek apskatīta vadīšanas procesa būtība izglītībā un analizētas vadītāja darbības konceptuālās pamatnostādnes profesionālajā izglītībā.
2. pētnieciskajā daļā tiek izvirzīts pētījuma jautājums – Kāds ir struktūrvienības vadītāja darbības izvērtējums?
3. daļā, pamatojoties uz pētījuma rezultātiem, tiek izstrādāti priekšlikumi struktūrvienības vadītāja darbības pilnveidei.

Therefore it is important to investigate the efficiency of leader’s work, to assess the strong and weak aspects of leadership, and work out propositions for perfecting leadership and guidance in education.
In order to investigate into the work of a subdivision leader at a medical college, there has been analyzed pedagogical, methodological and managerial literature, and there has been assessed the dynamic process of guidance.
The 1 part of the paper deals with the essence of leading process in education and analyses of leader’s work conceptual principal provisions in vocational education.
The 2 part of the research brings forward the question under investigation – What is the evaluation of subdivision leader’s work?
In the 3 part, on the grounds of the results of the research, there have been worked out propositions for perfecting the work of a subdivision leader.
