Abstract
partijas un to sekmes parlamenta vēlēšanās. Aprakstīta abu politisko plakātu un karikatūru
attīstība Latvijā un to pētniecības metodes. Katra avota analīzei veltīta atsevišķa nodaļa.
Izmantoto vizuālo avotu reprodukcijas pievienotas darba beigās pielikumā. Bakalaura darbā
apkopotais materiāls un tajā izdarītie secinājumi Ļauj labāk izprast 20. gs. 20.–30. gadu
Latvijas politisko situāciju un tās īpatnības.
The bachelor paper “The Reflection of Struggle during the Pre-election Campaign of Latvian Parties in Posters and Caricatures (1920–1934)” explores the election campaigns of the Latvian political parties depicted in the visual sources. Political posters and caricatures serve as accurate records of party slogans and promises. They also successfully feature the election procedure in general. With the help of these sources, it is possible to find out more about the political events of the time. The paper gives a detailed account of political parties and their achievements in parliamentary elections, paying particular attention to the development of posters and caricatures in Latvia as well as the methods of their research. Separate chapters are devoted to each of the two visual sources analysed. Reproductions from both the sources are included in the appendix. The collected material and the conclusions allow to better understand the political situation in Latvia in the 1920s-1930s.
