Abstract
LU Muzeja Botānikas un mikoloģijas kolekcijās glabājas gan egļu herbāriji, gan to čiekuri. Ekspozīcijā “Čiekuri” ir pārstāvētas 12 egļu sugas no visas pasaules.
Spruce (Picea sp.) is a widespread plant in the northern hemisphere. There are about 50 species of spruce in the world, but only one of them grows in the wild in Latvia. Introduced species can also be found in greeneries. The Botanical and Mycological collections of the Museum of the University of Latvia contain both spruce herbariums and their cones. 12 spruce species from all over the world are represented in the exposition "Čiekuri".
