Frazeoloģismi angļu valodas mācīšanas procesā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Frazeoloģismi angļu valodas mācīšanas procesā. Zinātniskā darba mērķis ir parādīt, ka angļu valodas frazeoloģismi satur lielu apjomu informācijas par angļu kultūru un ieviest jaunu kultūras mācīšanas metodi. Galvenais pētījuma veids ir eksperiments, kas tika vadīts vidusskolas klasēs. Rezultātā darba autors atklāja, ka informācija par kultūru var palīdzēt frazeoloģismu apgūšanas procesā, un otrādi – kultūra var tikt mācīta ar frazeoloģismu palīdzību. Turklāt, kultūras mācīšana ar frazeoloģismu palīdzību neprasa papildus laiku. Bez tam, valoda un kultūra var tikt apgūti vienlaicīgi. Pēc pētījuma veikšanas var secināt, ka frazeoloģismi var ieviest valodas apgūšanas procesā zināšanas par kultūru un ka kultūra var tikt mācīta un apgūta, izmantojot frazeoloģismus kā galveno informācijas ieguves avotu. The topic of the paper is ‘Idioms in English language teaching’. The purpose of the research paper was to demonstrate that idioms of the English language contain a lot of cultural background information of the target language and to introduce a new method of teaching idioms. Furthermore, experiment conducted in the Secondary school was the main research method As a result, the author of the paper discovered that cultural background information can help in studying idioms, and vice versa, idioms can help to bring culture in the foreign language classroom. Besides, teaching culture through idioms does not require extra time. Moreover, both language and culture can be taught simultaneously. All things considered, it was concluded that idioms can bring the knowledge of culture of the target language in the classroom, and target culture can be taught and learned through idioms.
