Pētījumu ietekme uz valodas mācīšanu vidusskolā

Abstract

Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt angļu valodas pasniegšanas pētnieciskas darbības ietekmi un tās efektivitātes nozīmīgumu skolotāju ikdienas darbā. Operatīva hipotēze – ja angļu valodas skolotājs (-tāja) tiek vai tika iesaistīts pētnieciskās darbības veikšanā, tad viņam/ viņai ir vairāk iespēju noteikt problēmas angļu valodas stundās un atlasīt visefektīvākos līdzekļus un metodes problēmu risināšanai un pielietošanai praksē. Diplomdarbs sastāv no trim daļām: 1. daļa ir ievada daļa, kas apraksta skolotāja profesionālas attīstības iespējas; 2. daļa ir teorētiskā daļa, kurā autore aplūko dažādu autoru atziņas par pētnieciskās darbības veikšanu angļu valodas stundās; 3. daļa ir praktiskā daļa, kurā tiek aprakstīta un izanalizēta pētnieciskā darbība, kas tika veikta uz skolotāju pētījumu pamātā. Pētnieciskās darbības gaitā tika izmantota gadījumu pētījuma metode. Datu savākšanai tika izmantota Latvijas un ārzemes skolotāju aptauja un intervija. Aptaujā tika iesaistīti ari studējošie skolotāji. Intervijas un aptaujas paraugi tika iekļauti Pielikumā 1 un Pielikumā 2.

The goal of the present paper is to investigate the impact of research on the English language teaching in schools of Latvia and the teachers’ awareness in its effectiveness. The hypothesis of the work is if a teacher has been previously or is currently involved in teacher’s research he or she has more opportunities to detect exact problems of the language classroom and select the best means to solve them and implement the solutions in practice. The paper is compiled of three chapters: Chapter 1 is an introductory part into possible ways the English language teacher may use to grow professionally; Chapter 2 is the theoretical part, where the author reviews the relevant literature written by English language and teaching researchers; Chapter 3, is the practical part, which gives a thorough description, analysis and conclusions the research made on the impact of research on the English language teaching. The research method used in the investigation is case study approach. Within the research framework the author has held the survey and interviewed the English language teachers working in a number of Latvian schools and schools abroad. The questionnaire has also involved participation of student-teachers. The examples of the interview and questionnaire are included in Appendix 1 and Appendix 2.
