Hronotops un gotiskais šausmu kino

Abstract

Bakalaura darba „Hronotops un gotiskais šausmu kino” mērķis ir aplūkot laiktelpas dinamiku gotiskā šausmu kino žanrā un apkopot tā raksturiezīmes fiksētas telpas ietveros. Mērķa sasniegšanai tiek izmantota Mihaila Bahtina hronotopa teorija, kura aplūko laiktelpas dinamikas un funkcijas literāro darbu žanros. Pilnvērtīgai analīzei tiek izmantota arī Vladimira Propa tēlu funkciju teorija. Teorētiskā darba daļa sastāv no pētniecisko teoriju apskata, kā arī gotisko romānu un šausmu kino vēsturiskās attīstības aplūkošanas. Analītiskā darba daļa sevī iekļauj izvēlēto filmu hronotopu un tēlu analīzi, balstoties uz to, kā literārās hronotopu kategorijas tiek pielāgotas kino analīzei. Secinājumos tiek atspoguļotas būtiskās laiktelpas un tēlu dinamikas, kuras var saukt par raksturojošām gotiskajā šausmu kino.

The aim of the thesis “Chronotope and gothic horror films” is to explore and find the common characteristic dynamics of time and space within the gothic horror movie genre. In order to achieve this goal, Mikhail Bakhtin’s theory of literary chronotope is applied in combination with Vladimir Propp’s theory of character functions in fairy tales. The paper consists of three main parts, the theory – which includes information about the analytical theories used as well as the historical evolution of both horror film and gothic fiction. The analytical part – in which the theories are applied, to the chosen gothic horror films, in order to find the common dynamics of time and space that are used in them, as well as the character functions. The conclusion reflects the common chronotope and character dynamics used within the gothic horror films.
