Prievārdi angļu valodā kognitīvi lingvistiskā skatījumā

Abstract

Šī diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt prievārdu nozīmi angļu valodā, un tas tiek darīts, balstoties uz kognitīvo lingvistiku. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek raksturoti kognitīvās lingvistikas principi, un apkatīti valodas jautājumi, izmantojot kognitīvo lingvistiku un kopējos metodikas principus. Otrajā nodaļā tiek apkopoti galvenie kognitīvās gramatikas punkti, un noteikts vai tie ir līdzīgi kognitīvās lingvistikas punktiem. Trešajā un ceturtajā nodaļā tiek apskatīta vietas semantikas un kognitīvās semantikas teorija, un izveidots pamats šā darba eksperimentālajai daļai. Piektajā daļā tiek apsaktīti minēto nozaru un metodikas, kas tiek izmantota, analizējot prievārdu “caur”, teorētiskie pieņēmumi.

The research paper is aimed at investigating the meaning of prepositions in the English language and that is done from cognitive-linguistic perspective. The first chapter introduces the fundamental principles of Cognitive Linguistics and discusses the issue of language from cognitive point of view, along with overall principles of methodology. The second chapter compiles basic points of interest of Cognitive Grammar, and defines whether they are coincident with those of Cognitive Linguistics. The third and fourth chapters introduce theoretical frameworks of Spatial Semantics and Cognitive Semantics and together create a preparatory base for the empirical part of the paper given. The fifth chapter applies theoretical assumptions of the mentioned frameworks and methodology on which the analysis of preposition through is based.
