Mākslīgā intelekta reprezentācija filmās “2001: A Space Odessey”, “Blade Runner” un “Her”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Mākslīgā intelekta reprezentācija filmās “2001: A Space Odessey”, “Blade Runner” un “Her”” mērķis ir uzzināt, ar kādu kinematogrāfisko elementu palīdzību mākslīgais intelekts tiek reprezentēts trīs dažādās zinātniskās fantastikas filmās “2001: A Space Odessey”, “Blade Runner” un “Her”, veicot semiotisko un naratīva analīzi. Darba teorētiskais pamatojums sastāv no teorijas par naratīvu, semiotiku, kino valodu, reprezentāciju un mākslīgo intelektu. Pētījuma metodoloģiskajā daļā aprakstītas divas kvalitatīvās pētījuma metodes, kas tika izmantotas šī pētījuma ietvaros – semiotiskā analīze un naratīva analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti sniedz ieskatu par to, kā mākslīgais intelekts tiek reprezentēts trīs tematiski dažādās filmās un kādas ir galvenās, ar mākslīgo intelektu saistītās, ētiskās problēmas, kas ir novērojamas šajās filmās. The aim of the bachelor's thesis "The representation of artificial intelligence in the films “2001: A Space Odessey”, “Blade Runner”, and “Her'" is to determine the cinematic elements used to represent artificial intelligence in three different science fiction films: "2001: A Space Odessey," "Blade Runner," and "Her," through semiotic and narrative analysis. The theoretical framework of the thesis consists of theories on narrative, semiotics, film language, representation, and artificial intelligence. The methodological part of the research describes two qualitative research methods used in this study - semiotic analysis and narrative analysis. The results of the study provide insight into how artificial intelligence is represented in three thematically different films, and what are the main ethical issues related to artificial intelligence that are seen in these films.
