| dc.description.abstract | Ievads: Neskatoties, ka abortu skaits Latvijā turpina samazināties, joprojām, saskaņā ar PVO datiem, abortu biežums Latvijā ir samērā augsts. PVO, kā visefektīvāko abortu skaita samazināšanas instrumentu uzskata zināšanas par seksuālās un reproduktīvās veselības (SRV) jautājumiem. Latvijā nav pietiekami dati par zināšanām SRV jomā, īpaši jauniešu vecuma grupā. Līdz ar to radās interese izpētīt, kādas ir Latvijas Universitātes (LU) studējošo zināšanas par SRV jautājumiem kontracepcijas kontekstā. Darba mērķis: Izvērtēt un salīdzināt LU studējošo zināšanas par kontracepcijas jautājumiem. Materiāli un metodes: Šķērsgriezuma, aprakstošs un salīdzinošs pētījums. Pētījumā iekļauti LU dažādu fakultāšu mācību programmu 1. un 3. kursa studenti, kuri atbildēja un aizpildīja pilotētu, strukturētu un anonīmu anketu ar pētījuma jautājumiem par: vecumu, dzimumu, kursu; zināšanām par kontracepciju; reproduktīvo anamnēzi.Dati apkopoti un analizēti, izmantojot programmas MS Excel un SPSS 19.0. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Despite the fact that the number of abortions in Latvia continues to decrease, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) data, the abortion rate in Latvia is still relatively high. WHO believes as the most effective tool to reduce the number of abortions is a good knowledge regarding to the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) issues. Latvia does not have relevant data about society knowledge regarding the SRH, particularly among young people. Due to that, we have decided to investigate what the University of Latvia (UL) students’ knowledge is regarding to the SRH issue as contraception. Purpose: To assess and compare students’ knowledge about the birth control issue at the UL. Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive and comparative study. The study population is the 1th and the 3rd year students of the different programs who have responded and filled the piloted, structured and anonymous questionnaire. | en_US |
