Lietotāju telpu zonas iekārtojums publiskā bibliotēkā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba “Lietotāju telpu zonas iekārtojums publiskā bibliotēkā” mērķis ir izpētīt, vai lietotāju telpu zonas iekārtojums publiskā bibliotēkā atbilst Latvijā noteiktajiem normatīvajiem aktiem un lietotāju interesēm un vajadzībām. Pētījuma teorētisko bāzi veido pragmatisma teorija, kurā galvenais uzsvars ir prakses un teorijas apvienojums. Pragmatismā tiek uzskatīts, ka teorijas lietderīgums ir balstīts tajā, kāds ir tās praktiskais pielietojums. Izvirzītā mērķa sasniegšanai veikts pētījums, kurā kā datu vākšanas metodes izmantota dokumentu analīze, novērošana un daļēji strukturēta intervija. Pētījumā tika analizēta normatīvo aktu ievērošana publisko bibliotēku lietotāju telpu zonas iekārtojumā, novērota bibliotēku lietotāju plūsma un novērtēta bibliotēku apmeklētāju apmierinātība ar lietotāju telpu zonas iekārtojumu. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka iekārtojot lietotāju telpu zonas publiskā bibliotēkā ir svarīgi ieklausīties gan bibliotēku apmeklētāju, potenciālo apmeklētāju, kā arī darbinieku viedoklī, lai izveidotu tādu bibliotēkas iekārtojumu, kas būtu draudzīgs visām mērķauditorijām.

The aim of the bachelor’s thesis “The layout of the user area in a public library” is to investigate whether the layout of user area in a public library complies with both the normative acts of Republic of Latvia as well as interests and needs of the patrons. The theoretical research is based on pragmatism theory in which the main emphasis is put on the combination of practice and theory. Pragmatism believes that the usefulness of theory bases on the effectiveness of its practical application. In order to achieve the goal, research is conducted by document analysis, observation and semi-structured interview as methods of data collection. The research analyses whether the conditions of normative acts have been taken into account when planning the layout of user access areas in public library premises, it observes the flow of patrons and evaluates the patrons’ satisfaction with the layout and furnishings of user access areas. Results of the research lead to a conclusion: in order to design the user access zones in a public library in a way that is suitable to all target groups, it is crucial to take into account the opinion of both existing and potential library users, as well as the staff.
