Abstract
Bakalaura darba pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt priekšstata par audzināšanas pieeju bērnībā saistību ar emociju regulācijas spējām pieaugušo vecumā. Pētījumā piedalījās 82 respondenti (32 vīrieši, 50 sievietes), vecumā no 20 līdz 30 gadiem (M=24,02; SD=2,99).
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to examine the relationship between perceptions of childhood parenting approaches and emotional regulation skills in adulthood. The study involved 82 participants (32 men, 50 women) aged between 20 and 30 years (M=24.02; SD=2.99). Data collection was conducted using two questionnaires: the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (Frick, 1991) and the Emotion Regulation Skills Questionnaire (ERSQ-27; Berking & Znoj, 2008), in its adapted version (Kristiņa-Everte, Paiča & Mārtinsone, 2021). The study concluded that parental emotional warmth and support during childhood are strongly associated with more effective emotional regulation skills in adulthood. Inconsistent or neglectful parenting significantly correlated with weaker emotional regulation abilities.
