| dc.description.abstract | Šī darba tēma ir skatiena kā stāstījuma stratēģijas funkcija kinematogrāfiskajos tekstos. Kinokameras skatiena funkcija kinematogrāfisko kodu konstruēšanā tiek pētīta kinematogrāfiskajos tekstos, kas pieder dažādiem žanriem: melodrāmai, vesternam, detektīvžanram, gotiskajam un šausmu žanram. Starpkulturālais skatījums Āzijas vesternos atspoguļo globālo skatītāju multikulturālo piederību. Darbā tiek pētīta arī manipulatīvā skatiena loma neuzticamā vēstītāja konstruēšanā. Darba autore analizējusi filmas, vadoties pēc teorētiskajām vadlīnijām, kas paustas semiotiķu Daniela Čendlera, Umberto Eko, kā arī psihoanalītiķa un kultūras kritiķa Slavoja Žižeka, kā arī citu kino teorētiķu darbos. Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka skatiens bieži tiek izmantots kā metavēstījumam raksturīgs paņēmiens, lai izceltu kino skatīšanās vuāristiskos aspektus. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The present paper is devoted to the function of gaze as a narrative strategy in cinematic texts. The function of the look of the camera in the construction of cinematic codes is explored in cinematic texts that belong to genres of drama, western, crime, mystery, Gothic and horror. Cross-cultural gaze in Asian westerns reflects the multiculturalism of the global audience. The role of the manipulative gaze in construction of the unreliable narrator has been traced. The author of the paper has analysed films, following the theoretical guidelines in film analysis by the semioticians Daniel Chandler and Umberto Eco, as well as the psychoanalyst and cultural critic Slavoj Žižek, and other film theorists. The findings of the work suggest that gaze is often used as a metafictional device to foreground the voyeuristic aspects of the cinema.
