Mašīntulkojumu pēcrediģēšana kā tulkošanas darba plūsmas daļa

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir noteikt, cik ērta ir pēcrediģēšana kā daļa no tulkošanas darbplūsmas mašīntulkošanā pēc aptaujas dalībnieku novērtējuma, kā arī noskaidrot, ar kādiem izaicinājumiem tie saskaras, un izvērtēt pēcrediģēšanas ietekmi uz tulkošanas procesu. Lai veiktu empīrisko daļu, tika izmantotas gan kvantitatīvās, gan kvalitatīvās analīzes metodes. Pētījumā gaitā tika atklāts, ka dalībnieki vērtē mašīntulkošanu kā ērtu rīku, attieksme pret to ir diezgan pozitīva, un visbiežāk sastopamā problēma ir nepareiza vārdu tulkošana. Tādēļ, balstoties uz aptaujas rezultātiem, var secināt, ka pēcrediģēšana ietekmē tulkošanas darbplūsmu, jo pēc mašīntulkošanu ir jāveic daudz labojumu.

The purpose of the master’s thesis is to examine post-editing in machine translation as part of translation workflow and to determine the convenience of machine translation for the participants of the questionnaire, as well as to determine challenges that the participants face, and how post-editing impact the translation process. In order to make the empirical part both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods were applied. The analysis determined that machine translation is a convenient tool for the participants, the attitude towards machine translation is rather positive, and the most common problem is the incorrect translation of words. Therefore, based on results, post-editing impacts translation workflow because, according to the results, a lot of corrections should be made after machine translation.
