Militārā un sporta metafora politiskajā diskursā

Abstract

Aktivitātes, kas saistītas ar vēlēšanām un aģitācijas kampaņām politikā, ir pārņēmušas daudzas militārām un sporta aktivitātēm raksturīgas īpašības. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija izpētīt militāro un sporta metaforu lietojumu rakstos par politiskajām vēlēšanām un pierādīt semantiskā lauka teorijas pielietojamību, interpretējot metaforas. Teorijas analīzes metodes ietvēra teorijas izpēti par metaforām, kas atspoguļoja dažādus metaforu veidus un funkcijas, kā arī metaforu interpretācijas gaitu. Semantiskā lauka teorijas izpēte tika veikta, lai atklātu šīs teorijas saistību ar metaforām. Ar politiskām vēlēšanām saistīti raksti tika analizēti, lai identificētu militārās un sporta metaforas, to lietojuma biežumu un funkcijas. Var secināt, ka, lai izskaidrotu mērķjomu „vēlēšanas” politiskajā diskursā, ar militāro un sporta semantisko lauku saistītas avotjomas tiek bieži pielietotas. The activities connected with political elections and campaigning have adopted many characteristics of the military and sports, thus, influencing the language used to describe these activities. The goal of the bachelor thesis was to explore the usage of military and sport metaphors in newspaper articles on political elections and to prove the applicability of the semantic field theory to the interpretation of metaphors. The theoretical research methods comprised the study of the theory on metaphor, which displayed different types and functions of metaphors, as well as the process of interpreting metaphors. They also explored the semantic field theory in order to reveal the connection between the semantic field theory and the concept of metaphor. The discourse analysis of articles on political issues, elections specifically, was conducted in order to identify military and sport metaphors, their frequency and functions. It can be concluded that in order to explain the target domain ‘elections’ in political discourse, the source domains pertaining to the semantic fields of the military and sports are commonly utilized.
