Abstract
Zinātnisko pētījumu par 7.-11.gs. skandināvu kultūras sakariem ar Austrumbaltijas iedzīvotājiem ir nedaudz. Lielāka interese ir par kontaktiem ar Rietumeiropu un Krievzemi. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt skandināvu un Austrumbaltijas teritorijas iedzīvotāju kultūras sakarus 7.-11.gs. balstoties uz arheoloģiskajām liecībām un ziņām rakstītajos avotos. Darbā ir četras nodaļas 1. Vikingu laikmets Skandināvijā un Austrumbaltijā 7.-11.gs. 2. Arheoloģiskās liecības par militārajiem konfliktiem starp skandināviem un Austrumbaltijas iedzīvotājiem. 3. Arheoloģiskās liecības par tirdzniecības un kultūras kontaktiem starp skandināviem un Austrumbaltijas iedzīvotājiem. 4. Skandināvijas un Austrumbaltijas iedzīvotāju mijiedarbības formas. Iegūtie rezultāti rāda, ka skandināviem bija zināma ietekme uz Austrumbaltijas iedzīvotāju materiālo kultūru.
There are few researches about cultural connections between scandinavians and inhabitants of Eastern Baltic during 7-11 c. Much bigger attention is paid on connections with Western Europe and Russia. The aim of the master’s thesis is to research cultural connections between scandinavians and inhabitants of Eastern Baltic during 7-11 c. Master’s thesis consists of four chapters: 1. The Viking age in Scandinavia and Eastern Baltic 7-11 c. 2. Archeological evidence about military conflicts between scandinavians and inhabitants of Eastern Baltic. 3. Archeological evidence about trade and cultural connections between scandinavians and inhabitants of Eastern Baltic.4. Forms of interaction of inhabitants of Eastern Baltic and Scandinavia. Research results shows that scandinavians had influence on material culture of inhabitants of Eastern Baltic.
