Abstract
Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt jaunu pieaugušo depresijas simptomu saistību ar tēva iesaistīšanos audzināšanā un mātes emocionālo siltumu bērnībā. Pētījuma izlase sastāv no 55 respondentiem, vecumā no 18 līdz 30 gadiem (M=22,95; SD=3,53).
The aim of the study was to examine the relationship of depressive symptoms in young adults with a father's involvement in parenting and a mother's emotional warmth during childhood. The research sample consists of 55 respondents, aged between 18 and 30 years (M=22.95; SD=3.53). The following questionnaires were used: Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II; Beck, Steer, & Brown, 1996; adapted in Latvia by S. Voitkāne, S. Miezīte, 2001), the Nurturant Fathering Scale (Finley & Schwartz, 2004; adapted in Latvia by L. Liepiņa, 2013), Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI; Parker, Tupling, & Brown, 1979; adapted in Latvia by I. Bite 1998) Care Scale, and demographic data questionnaire. The proposed hypothesis was confirmed, a statistically significant negative correlation was found between the depressive symptoms of young adults and the father's involvement in parenting in childhood, as well as a statistically significant negative correlation between the depressive symptoms of young adults and the mother's emotional warmth in childhood.
