Abstract
The aim of this Master Thesis is to develop a solution to reduce plastic packaging waste. The production of plastic packaging has grown uncontrollably in recent years, with the amount of plastic packaging in Latvia increasing by half a kilogram per capita every year. Not all households sort their waste and recycling opportunities are currently limited as not all plastics on the market are recyclable. The specific problem identified by the work is that a large proportion of everyday goods are packaged in packaging containing plastic. To address the specific problem identified, the author proposes implementing a project “Setting up a zero-package shop”. The Master Thesis consists of 80 pages, 10 tables, 7 figures and 35 annexes. Keywords: project management, plastic waste, plastic packaging, waste recycling, zero waste.
