Abstract
Work theme: Football as a vehicle for developing social skills for 6-8 year olds. Author of the work: Arthur Rudzitis Work goal: explore and clarify opportunities for promoting social skills of 6-8 year-old footballers during football training The theoretical part of the work consists of the first four chapters. The first chapter analyses the concept of social skills from literary sources of different authors. The second chapter provides a literary analysis of the child's development at the age of 6-8. The third chapter of the qualification work analyses how social skills interact with football. In the concluding chapter, the theoretical part analyses the specifics of coaching work when dealing with 6-8 year olds. Chapter five of the work focuses on the practical part in which the author has carried out a pedagogical observation and carried out an analysis of that observation. The author has also compiled information provided by parents of children on the interaction between football and social skills. In the third method of study, the author has summed up the experience of football coaches and the information provided about football as a means of developing social skills in early childhood. Lessons learnt from the Qualification process are expressed in conclusions and proposals: • Social skills are developed during football training; • The social skills acquired and developed during football training help to integrate successfully into society; • The social role of the child depends on both the coach and parents; • Integrating toys into football training is one of the key methods of helping your child develop social skills.
