Abstract

Methods of research: 1.Analysis of theoretical literature and sources; 2.Pedagogical observation; 3.Implementation of theoretical pedagogical methods in practice; 4.Surveying; 5.Analysis of data, acquired through observation. Research volume: 51 pages, 15 illustrations, 5 tables, 11 appendix, 29 sources of literature and theoretical publications. Theory section involves inclusions from various publications on pedagogy and psychology, books, articles and analysis of these sources. During empirical research, observations were made at a private preschool educational institution, generating subsequent catalogue of play activities, designed for the specific age. Observations were made in the beginning of the research and conducted repeatedly, after two months, to acquire and evaluate data on the development of children’s social skills. Additionally, teachers were surveyed. All collected data was analysed to declare whether play activities had an impact on the development of social skills.
