Abstract
Novadpētniecība ir pētniecības veids, kurā tiek pētīta konkrētas pilsētas, novada, pagasta, apkaimes vēsture, apskates objekti, daba, muižas, pilis, lauksaimniecība, arhitektūra, piensaimniecība un citi ar noteikto pilsētu, novadu, pagastu, apkaimi saistītie temati, jo katrai vietai ir kaut kas unikāls, ar ko var lepoties vietas iedzīvotāji, cilvēki, kas apmeklē konkrēto vietu kā tūristi, ciemiņi un Latvijas iedzīvotāji. Nereti novadpētnieki izpēta vietas un tematus, kas ir saistīti ar konkrēto vietu. Pētniecības procesā tiek izglītoti tās iedzīvotāji un viesi, veicot pētījumus, sarakstot un izdodot grāmatas par kādu noteiktu vietas tematu pētāmās vietas iedzīvotājiem un viesiem. Novadpētnieku darbs ir nenovērtējams tāpēc, ka viņi iegulda savu laiku, darbu un nereti arī finanses, lai izpētītu kādu noteiktu pilsētas, novada, pagasta, apkaimes tematu un popularizētu konkrēto vietu, tādējādi ieinteresējot citus pētīt savas dzimtas vietas vēsturi un citus interesējošos tematus par dzimto vietu. Pētījuma mērķis bija uzzināt, kādi ir Talsu novada novadpētnieku informācijas meklēšanas ceļi un avoti, par kādām tēmām novadpētnieki veido savus pētījumus, ar kādiem cilvēkiem/institūcijām notiek sadarbība, veicot novadpētniecības pētījumus, kur var atrast Talsu novada novadpētnieku veiktos pētījumus, kas kopīgs un atšķirīgs Talsu novada novadpētnieku pētījumu veikšanas soļos. Pētījuma rezultātā tika uzzināts, ka Talsu novada novadpētnieki iegūst informāciju saviem pētījumiem, izmantojot dažādus informācijas meklēšanas ceļus un avotus. Visbiežāk sastopamās informācijas meklēšanas metodes bija periodikas izpēte, arhīvu apmeklēšana, dažādu interneta resursu lietošana, piemēram, periodika.lv, digitālajā bibliotēkā veidotā digitālā kolekcija “Talsu novadpētniecība”, raduraksti.lv, tiek iegādāti dažādi informācijas avoti un vēstures artefakti dažādās izsolēs. Šī novada novadpētnieki arī sadarbojas ar arhīviem, muzejiem, Talsu Galveno bibliotēku un citiem novadpētniekiem, kas var sniegt informāciju novadpētniecības pētījumiem.
Local history research is a type of research that studies the history, manors, castles, agriculture, architecture, dairy farming and other topics that are related to a specific city, county, parish or neighborhood, because each place has something unique that the residents of the place, people who visit the specific place as tourists, visitors and residents of Latvia can be proud of. Local history researchers often explore places and topics that are related to a specific place. During research process residents and visitors are being educated by conducting research, writing and publishing books on a specific topic for the residents and visitors of the place. Work of local history researchers is invaluable because they invest their time, effort and often finances to do a research on specific topic of the city, county, parish or neighborhood and to popularize the researched place, thus encouraging others to research the history of their hometown and other interesting topics about their hometown. The aim of the study was to find out what the information searching paths and sources of Talsi region local researchers are, what topics local researchers do their research on, what people/institutions they collaborate with when conducting local history research, where the research conducted by local history researchers of Talsi county can be found and what is common and different in the steps of conducting research by local history researchers of Talsi county. As a result of the research, it was found that local history reseachers of Talsi county obtain information for their research using various information searching paths and sources. Mostly used information searching methods were researching periodicals, visiting archives, using various internet resources, for example, periodika.lv, digital collection “Talsu novadpētniecība” created by digital library, raduraksti.lv and also various information sources and historical artifacts are purchased at various auctions. Local history researchers from this county also collaborate with archives, museums, Talsi Main Library and other local history who can provide information for local history research.
