Slenga tulkošanas īpatnības Ērvina Velša romānā "Vilcienvakte"

Abstract

Šajā darbā ir aplūkots slengs kā parādība, tā tulkošanas īpatnības skotu rakstnieka Ērvina Velša romānā Vilcienvakte. Darbs sniedz ieskatu slenga daudzveidībā, apskatot tā saucamo netradicionālo vārdu krājumu, proti, žargonu, vulgārismus, rupjības, barbarismus jeb aizgūtos vārdus un dialekticismus, atspoguļojot arī skotu dialekta savdabību. Balstoties uz pētījumiem un teorētiskiem avotiem, šajā darbā parādīta vēlīnā 20.gs. izpratne par slengu, tā atspoguļojums romānā Vilcienvakte, analizējot tulkotāja Jāņa Elsberga slenga darinājumus.The present paper analyses the slang phenomenon and its translation peculiarities basing on the novel Trainspotting of the Scottish author Irvine Welsh. This paper discusses the various slang component elements, so called unconventional vocabulary, namely, jargon, vulgarisms, taboo words, borrowings or barbarisms and dialecticisms, as well revealing the Scottish dialect peculiarities. Based on the material of both analytical and theoretical character, the paper combines the late twentieth century idea of slang, its reflection in the translation of the novel Trainspotting as well as the cases of slang transference performed by the translator Jānis Elsbergs.
